Stagedoor aims to get children encouraged, excited and having fun whilst learning drama and theatre skills. We try to get their imaginations rolling, their brains ticking and their understanding of drama and the theatre bursting at the seams.

Below is a guide to what the children will learn although it does depend on the children themselves, their understanding, development and enjoyment. At the end of the three terms we will combine all the classes and produce a show for an audience in the theatre, where the children will have the chance to showcase all the skills they have learnt throughout the year.

In addition to these lessons we would also like the children to engage and build upon their knowledge of theatre by having guest workshops which will take place during their normal lessons, to help them see others sides of the theatre and how it works. These are subject to teachers and professional availability.
